ABOUT PC

Ragamuffin Speaker | Word-obsessed Writer | College Pastor | Graced Husband | Smitten Father | Spoken word PoetGigantic SNL Fan

I am the College and Young Adult pastor at First Covenant Church, a large 100 year old church in Sacramento, CA.

This site is my personal hub. It is focused on Faith, Culture, and Creativity. My hope is to provide a variety of creative outlets through which I would serve and connect with God, with others, and others with God.

BIO
I am a Midwestern kid (Indiana) who moved to California in 2003 with his wife, Tonya. Our lives blew up with joy September 2010 with the addition of our daughter, Bryleigh Sage, and again in February 2012 with our Haddisen Peace. I have been involved in College and Young Adult Ministry at varying capacity for nearly a decade.

Teaching and writing have always been my passions. I am increasingly interested in challenging and equipping Christians to influence culture with creativity, knowledge, and wisdom. The only rebellion left in our culture is to follow Christ and pursue holiness.

I graduated from Anderson University (BA in Christian Ministry) and A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary (MA in Intellectual Leadership). Along the way I have also studied at Hope International University (Graduate work in Christian Leadership). For several years, I have been a Licensed Minister with International Ministerial Fellowship.

My strongest passion is ministry, culture, and creativity. Check out my speaking page for possibilities and opportunities for your group.

You can follow my blog or find me on facebook or twitter.

  1. You took the time to “ciick” me today (WhimsyGizmo). Thought I’d return the favor. Great site. Always happy to meet a fellow “Word-obsessed Writer.”

    Have a great day!

  2. Dear PC,

I love what you are doing and this is indeed a source of inspiration to our world. I would love to chat with you some time so I could learn one or two. You are indeed a blessing.

    Warm regards,
    Nnanna

  3. Hi PC: I came across your site when I was looking up a quote that was a mis quote by a visiting Pastor at our church. He said that Gandhi said, “Everyone would be Christian if it weren’t for the Christians.”
Anyway, I want to be a follower of Jesus Christ and not a follower of others. Although didn’t Paul say, follow me as I follow Christ?
    Later, Tom
